Can deep ultraviolet uvc led chip achieve 254nm wavelength?
Deep UV LEDs can achieve a wavelength of 254 nm. Theoretically, the light-emitting wavelength of deep ultraviolet LED based on the AlGaN semiconductor material system can be as low as 203 nm (currently, the lowest value reported by laboratories worldwide is 230 nm).

But as shown in Figure 1, 254nm is not a perfect wavelength, and it is not necessary for LEDs to achieve this wavelength.
So, why is the current LED mainstream not 265nm? Because, after the wavelength is adjusted to 265nm in Figure 1. DNA's ability to absorb ultraviolet rays of different wavelengths, the cost/selling price accompanying the decrease in production capacity and yield cannot support its sterilization performance better than 275nm. Therefore, after comprehensive consideration of cost performance, the mainstream UVC-LED wavelength is set at 275nm and an industry consensus has been formed.
