Introduction of SMD LED silver alloy wire
Silver alloy wire is a product that replaces traditional gold wire. The main component is single crystal silver, with a general content of 90%-99%. Other ingredients are various trace elements.
Silver alloy wire is a product that has emerged in the LED industry to replace traditional gold wire in the past two years. As the price of gold has continued to rise in the past two years, the price of gold wire used for Led packaging has also continued to increase. At the same time, the price of Led products has continued to decline. Therefore, cheap alternatives-silver alloy wires, will come out at the right time. According to statistics from authoritative organizations, as of June 2011, about 1/3 of Led packaging manufacturers have switched from gold wire to silver wire, and the penetration rate is expected to rise to 80% by the end of 2012! At present, related manufacturers in mainland China, Taiwan and Japan have launched similar products, and their technologies are slightly different.

Advantage
1. The price is cheap. Compared with the gold wire of the same wire diameter, the price of silver wire is only about one-fifth of the gold wire;
2. Good conductivity;
3. The solderability is better when soldering with the silver-plated bracket;
4. Good reflectivity, no light absorption, brightness can be increased by about 10% compared with the use of gold wire;
5. Good heat dissipation;
Shortcoming
1. The application of old-fashioned wire bonding equipment is immature or needs to be installed with nitrogen protection before it can be used.
2. High technical requirements for manufacturers. In order to achieve the desired effect, it usually takes a long time to debug the equipment in the early stage.
