Why we can see visible red light from the IR 850nm led chip?
The visible light range is 380-780 nm.
The human eye is a light detector, and it is very insensitive to light smaller than 380 nm and larger than 780 nm.
850nm is roughly the meaning of the central wavelength, and there must be some wavelengths less than 850nm, and it is easy to be seen by the human eye, because it is still visible to the human eye at around 750nm. If the frequency is highly concentrated, it is a laser. Because of the cost, the infrared lamp does not need to be so high-precision, as long as it can meet the requirements of the infrared lamp (usually heating), and the visible light can play a role as a reminder to tell you that the lamp is turned on.
