Temperature and Time Setting of LED Reflow Soldering

It is necessary to set the temperature of reflow soldering during the process of reflow soldering of led lamp beads, otherwise it is easy to cause the dead light phenomenon of batch beads, which is an irreparable loss. So how can led reflow soldering work badly to cause such unnecessary losses?

First, LED reflow soldering, after adjusting the temperature curve, must go through the first plate and confirm all kinds of quality before mass production to make that it is ok. This is the first confirmation work in factory quality management.


Second, you must read the factory specifications of LED light beads and various technical parameters before doing welding work of the LED reflow soldering.


1. It depends on the temperature resistance of LED lamp bead packaging materials.

2. It depends on what kind of material the welding base material of LED is, such as PCB (fiberboard, etc.), aluminium base plate, ceramic board, and so on.

3. It depends on the solder, whether it is solder paste at high or low temperature, or resin, etc.

4. According to the actual quality of the LED reflow soldering equipment, the number of temperature zones of the LED reflow soldering, and the control of polar flow rate, fan, temperature setting of each zone and other parameters should be considered.


Third, reference of general adjustment parameters of LED reflow soldering through LED beads


The lowest temperature is 150–170 degrees, and the highest temperature is 240–245 degrees (the highest can be adjusted to 260, if 245 degrees can dissolve tin, do not adjust to 260). And the time of the temperature above 220 degrees can not exceed 60 seconds. If the temperature is raised, the time of the temperature above 260 degrees can not exceed 10 seconds. If the temperature range is 7, you can refer to the following settings: 160, 170, 175, 180, 190, 210, 245, 220. If the LED beads are silicone lens, you can use BI58SN42 tin paste, and the highest temperature is 225 degrees Celsius. If it is PC lens, reflow soldering cannot be used.
