The difference between aluminum oxide ceramics and aluminum nitride ceramics for LED brackets

Aluminum nitride ceramics and alumina ceramics are both ceramic circuit substrates, and their performance parameters also have a certain gap. Let Junjie introduce a few differences between them.

The ceramic substrate materials used for production and development include Al2O3, AlN, SiC, BeO, BN, zirconia and glass ceramics. Although the thermal conductivity of Al2O3 ceramic substrate is not high (20W/m.K), it has become the most widely used ceramic substrate because of its relatively simple production process, low cost and cheap price.

1. Thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity of alumina ceramics is 25w/m-k, while that of aluminum nitride ceramics is 210W/m-k, and the difference in thermal conductivity between the two is eight times.

2. Toughness: Aluminum nitride ceramic substrates are harder than alumina ceramic substrates, and are less likely to be broken or damaged.

3. Color: Alumina ceramic substrates are usually white, while aluminum nitride ceramic substrates are off-white.

Guangmai Tehnology is proffesional in making both ALO and ALN ceramic 3535, 5050 smd leds with good price and high power.
