As we know, different color led crystals has different forward voltage. If we use incorrect voltage, it may cause the led dead after short time using. Such as the red led has voltage 2-2.4vdc, if you power it with 3vdc, the red led will get burnt after short time lighting on. If use 2vdc with white led, the white led will not work at all.
Here is the working voltage range for the different color of leds as far as we know:
UVC 265-280nm& UVB 310-320nm : 5-8vdc
UVA 365-410nm: 3.2-3.8vdc
Blue, green 440-530nm: 3-3.4vdc
Yellow and red, deep red 585-670nm: 2-2.6vdc
Far red and infrared 700-940nm: 1.6-2.2vdc
White led 1600k-30000k: 3-3.4vdc
When you use the leds, please do not use with incorrect voltage range.
