A few days ago, Mackwell Health announced the establishment of a partnership with Daintree company GE Current to cooperate in the field of ultraviolet LED disinfection technology.
It is understood that GE Current’s pioneering 365DisInFx™ UV technology uses LEDs to help reduce the potential spread of certain common infection-causing pathogens. In a test experiment on SARS-CoV-2 using the 365DisInFx™ UVC solution, 12 365DisInFx™ LPU prototype devices were equipped in a 36 cubic meter room, and the head height was configured to allow 8 hours of exposure time (PET). The result showed that the inactivation rate reached 90% within 2 hours. This will allow continuous disinfection of the space while the occupants are present.

It is reported that this cooperation will complement Mackwell's shortcomings in UV sterilization. Mackwell Health is a new division of the Mackwell Group of Companies. The company has a 42-year track record in manufacturing and supplying safety-critical lighting systems to the global market. The 365DisInFx™ UV technology just complements Mackwell Health’s existing UV disinfection solution portfolio, such as ProtectivAIR® UV respirators and Whitebox Smart UV-C disinfection rooms used in the healthcare industry.
