What Are The Factors Affecting UV Light-emitting Diode Light Curing

Jan 15, 2020

So what are the factors affecting the cure rate of UV LEDs?

1. UV curing wavelength and intensity. If the energy is large, the curing time is short, and vice versa.

2. Additives. Add some additives to the adhesive, these additives will affect the curing speed.

3. The curing thickness is large, the surface of the cured adhesive layer cures quickly, but the cured surface layer will absorb some ultraviolet rays, the ultraviolet intensity will be weakened, and the curing speed will be reduced. Therefore, the cured adhesive layer is cured thinner, and vice versa.

4. The combination of UV LED light curing, the number, type, layout, power mode of UV curing equipment, and even the size of the LED will have a significant impact on system performance. Optimize the combination of these elements to produce a high-power UV LED matrix

5. Therefore, it is difficult to directly reflect the curing rate of curing equipment through a certain value. After research and analysis, FT-ir is used to record different curable adhesives, and the peak area of the CC double bond is recorded and drawn into a table. : Uneven curing. It started slightly slower. Around 5s, the reaction speed is faster. Curing is completed in about 12 seconds. This may be because the carbon-carbon double bond needs to absorb some energy when it is opened, and the cross-linking process is relatively fast.
