How to distinguish between good and bad infrared lamp beads?
1. The infrared emitting tube is not an LED; it is just a semiconductor device, it can only emit infrared rays to the outside.
2. The LED lamp bead is a self-luminous light source, and it can only emit visible light with a fixed frequency and a single color.
1. The distinction between positive core and loose core
Whether the wick is positive or loose determines the quality of the infrared lamp. The price between the two is also very different, even more than five times different. This is also an important reason for the price of infrared lamps on the market. The camera is most sensitive to lamps with a luminescence spectrum of 850 nanometers, that is, infrared tubes with red bursts. Infrared tubes in this frequency band are also the most expensive. Remove the light board of the infrared lamp and find an adjustable regulated power supply. In a low-light environment, first adjust the output voltage of the stabilized power supply to the rated working voltage of the infrared lamp, connect the infrared lamp, the infrared lamp is working normally, and then gradually reduce the voltage until the lamp is extinguished. Whether the degree of luminescence is consistent, if all the lamps on the lamp panel emit the same light during this process, it means that the lamps are using a positive core; if some lights are slightly brighter and some are slightly darker, then the quality of the wick is doubtful . There is another method-measurement method. Measure the working voltage of each lamp tube when the infrared lamp is working normally. At present, most of the LED infrared lamps on the market use low-power lamps, and the chips are mostly 12MIL or 14MIL [1 mil (mil)=0.0254 mm (mm)], and the normal working voltage of each lamp is about 1.5V. . Use a digital multimeter, turn the range switch to 2V, and measure the working voltage of each lamp. If it is a positive core tube, the error value of the working voltage of each lamp is within 0.03V. If it is greater than this value, it is especially common. When it was older, it was clear that these tubes were definitely not cores. This method is also applicable to 940-nanometer infrared lamps.
The advantage of positive core lamps is that they work stably. They are as new when they are new, and as old when they are old. After three to five years of work, look at the lights on the lamp panel and they will glow very consistently. If the illuminance is too low, the working current can be adjusted appropriately to restore its youth. The scattered core lamp is different. After half a year of work, some lights on the light board are bright and some lights are dim. It is fortunate that there will be no failure within one year. Even if the broken tube is replaced, it still fails after a short time because the overall quality is too poor.
2. the distinction between the size of the wick chip
The regular method is to measure the size of the wick after dissolving the colloid with a chemical solvent. But for most people, even if you can dissolve the colloid, you can't measure accurate data because we don't have that precise measurement tool [1 mil (mil) = 0.0254 millimeter (mm)]. Usually it depends on the operating current. Generally speaking, the maximum operating current of the 12MIL lamp does not exceed 60 mA, and the maximum operating current of the 14MIL does not exceed 70 mA. But now due to factors such as the market, the 12MIL lamp operating current of some all-in-ones has reached 80 mA. This method is uncertain again. But can provide us with a reference, that is, a chip with a large operating current may be large, but a large current will shorten the life. For example, the 12MIL lamp has a working current of 80 mA, and its life span is at most 2 years. You know this, just keep more light boards on hand. Anyway, you can make money by changing the light boards once, and you will make money in sales and engineering. Everyone is happy.

3.Look at the craft
Looking at craftsmanship is like looking at a person. If a person is dressed in sloppy clothes, it is difficult to tell that his work will be serious (except for Mr. Chen Jingrun, of course). To a certain extent, the quality of the process indicates the quality of the product, especially the welding process. The lamp welding time is required to be less than 1.5 seconds, and too long welding time will directly affect the life of the lamp. This has been confirmed during the test.

See the stability of the infrared lamp from the working voltage. Observing the light board carefully, it is not difficult to find that several light tubes on the light board are connected in series to form a group, and then these groups are connected in parallel to form the entire light board circuit. If there is a problem with one lamp in each group of lamps, then this group of lamps will not light up. At present, the working voltage of most light boards on the market is 12V, and some are 24V. For 12V lamps, 6 to 7 tubes are connected in series as a group, while for 24V lamps, 14 or 15 tubes are connected in series. The same lamp is faulty, and the number of non-working lamps with high voltage is much larger than that of lamps with low voltage. That is to say, the stability of the lamp with low working voltage is higher.
The quality of infrared light mainly depends on two aspects, except for the LED infrared diode is the power supply. Most of the infrared lamps are installed in high places. Once there is a problem, the engineer will first pick up the trouble, then the engineer will find the seller, and the seller will find the manufacturer; the profit of the seller is low, and the goods will be picked up and shipped back and forth. In the end, this lamp may not make money and may lose money. So the quality of the power supply is very important!
