Containerized LED Plant Factory Unveiled At The 10th China Flower Fair

Recently, the intelligent environment team of Tongji University, together with CIMC (Yangzhou Base), Ningbo Taixiong Company, and TBEA, jointly designed and constructed the "CIMC Garden" exhibition area at the 10th China Flower Expo.


The exhibition hall takes the form of a container as a carrier, which is divided into photovoltaic solar cabins, wind power generation cabins, modular light food cabins, vegetable planting cabins and other cabins. Among them, the vegetable planting cabin is a highly intelligent container plant planting system researched and developed by the intelligent environment team of Tongji University. The system includes a container body, a cultivation system, an air conditioning system, and an intelligent control system.

The cultivation system adopts advanced nutrient-liquid cultivation racks, plant LED growth lights and automatic water and fertilizer integrated irrigation system to ensure that plants can grow well in a controlled environment. The planting cabin adopts an advanced fresh air air conditioning system to reduce space occupation in the form of an all-in-one modularization, and combines heating, cooling, dehumidification and humidification functions to optimize the system configuration and reduce operating energy consumption.


In addition, the planting cabin has also developed an intelligent overall supervision system for the container plant planting system, which realizes the centralized and efficient characteristics of coordinated regulation and control of the plant growth environment, nutrient solution configuration and supply, and air-conditioning unit operation. The data is uploaded to the cloud platform, so that the container plant planting system can be remotely monitored and system setting operations can be performed through the mobile terminal.
