On the 21st, Finnish high-end headset manufacturer Varjo launched its first commercial and consumer-level VR headset product Varjo Aero, equipped with two Mini LED backlit LCD screens, priced at US$1990 (approximately RMB 12,700).

The Varjo Aero headset measures 200mm(W) x 170mm(H) x 300mm(L), with dual Mini LED backlight screens, and is equipped with customized variable resolution aspheric lenses. The resolution of each Mini LED screen is 2880 x 2720, the display refresh rate is 90Hz, 150nits calibrated brightness, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, 99% sRGB calibrated color coverage, and 115° horizontal viewing angle.
At the same time, the Varjo Aero headset is also equipped with 200Hz eye tracking technology, which can be used as an input method in a compatible APP, and can also be used for gaze point rendering. In addition, the head display also applies IPD automatic adjustment technology, the adjustment range is 57-73mm, when the user wears, the lens can be automatically adjusted to match the user's eyes.
The Varjo Aero headset weighs 717g. One side of the product is equipped with two built-in buttons for basic interaction and a 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as a pair of earpieces and microphones. However, this product does not have a front camera, so it does not support gesture tracking and MR functions.

In addition to Varjo Aero, Varjo also launched a new software Teleport VR. Prior to this, Varjo has launched two commercial headsets, Varjo XR-3 and Varjo VR-3, as well as two softwares, Varjo Reality Cloud and Teleport VR.
Among them, Varjo XR-3 (5495 euros) plus one-year Varjo XR official subscription costs a total of 6,990 euros, and Varjo VR-3 (3195 euros) plus one-year Varjo VR official subscription for a total price of 3990 euros. The launch of Varjo Aero is relatively cheap at US$1990 (about 1,714 euros).

At present, Varjo Aero has begun to accept orders, and the first orders are expected to ship in December. According to reports, this SteamVR headset is still mainly positioned in the commercial market, but also aimed at the high-end consumer application market.
Varjo said that on the road to creating a realistic meta-universe for users around the world, the advent of Varjo Aero and Teleport VR marks Varjo has taken a crucial first step.
