Lind Equipment has launched a new Apollo UVC LED system, which has been proven to eliminate the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This development paves the way for the rapid and portable eradication of viruses in shared spaces, such as medical facilities, long-term care homes and high-traffic public places, all of which can be done with just one click.
The ImPaKT laboratory of Western University in Canada tested Markham's Apollo UVC LED system and found that at a dose of 10mj/cm2, the Apollo UVC LED system eliminated at least 99.99% of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Lind's UVC LED lights can be installed on the wall, hung from the ceiling, or arranged on a panel or shelf. It can be plugged into a standard socket and turned on or off immediately, and is equipped with a 360° microwave sensor as standard to protect people who are too close to UVC light. According to reports, a standard 50W Apollo UVC LED product can reach a dose of 10mj/cm2, which can eliminate 99.99% of SARS-CoV-2 in less than 30s within 2 feet, and less than 8s within 1 foot. Alternative designs using Apollo UVC LED systems can be scaled up or down according to requirements.
