In response, Mr. Lin Xiaobo, Vice President of Sales at Seoul Viosys, first shared the sterilization effect of UVC-LED+UVA LED+photocatalyst. Photocatalyst technology is not a new technology, it has appeared in Japan as early as 1960. The reason for mentioning again is that it does have the effect of sterilization and deodorization. Through experimental comparison, it can be found that the sterilization effect of the UVA+photocatalyst solution in 120 minutes is only 1.98log, and the sterilization effect of only UVC-LED irradiation is 88.58% in 120 minutes, which is close to 90%. If the two technologies are combined to form a combination of UVC-LED+UVA LED+photocatalyst, a sterilization effect of 5.46log can be achieved in 120 minutes. Therefore, the effect of UVC-LED+UVA LED+photocatalyst is the best among the three options.

In addition, photocatalyst can remove formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, styrene, xylene, ethylene and other gases, while dead fish and fruits release the above-mentioned harmful gases due to corruption. Free radicals are formed through photocatalyst and strong redox in the air. The reaction can turn the harmful gas into carbon dioxide and water harmless to the human body. Therefore, the combination of UVC-LED+UVA-LED+photocatalyst can not only effectively sterilize, but also meet the deodorizing function.


At the same time, Mr. Lin Xiaobo made a further extended interpretation of the evaluation index of UVC-LED sterilization effect. He believes that UVC-LED products not only depend on the initial performance, but also on the later service life. Because home appliances are not simply consumer sterilization products. Consumer sterilization products such as toothbrushes, sterilization boxes, sterilization bags, etc., do not require long exposure time. Once the product is used in large household appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, humidifiers, UVC-LEDs must be exposed for a long time. If the light decay of UVC-LEDs is severe, it will have a negative impact on downstream manufacturers and consumers. For downstream manufacturers, the purchased UVC-LED parameters are almost the same, so it takes a lot of time to do aging tests, which delays the progress of the project's development. For consumers, if home appliances are equipped with UVC-LEDs with severe light decay, they cannot guarantee a good and stable sterilization effect.
