Among them is the TCL Huaxing 6th generation semiconductor new display device production line t5 project with a total investment of 15 billion yuan. The project will be launched in Wuhan Optics Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park on December 3, 2021. It is to expand the production of existing 6th generation semiconductor new display devices. The monthly production capacity will be increased from the existing 53,000 pieces to 98,000 pieces. Completion is planned for 2025.
It is reported that the t5 production line adopts VR technology, touch screen technology, MiniLED backlight display technology, LTPO technology, etc., and mainly produces small and medium-sized display devices based on LTPS TFT-LCD, involving high-end displays such as vehicle, notebook, tablet, VR display panel, etc. product.
It is understood that TCL Huaxing has built two high-end panel production lines. Among them, the t3 project started construction in 2014 and is the first 6-generation LTPS display panel production line in China. The t4 project started construction in 2017 and is the first domestic 6-generation flexible display panel production line focusing on folding displays. Currently, t3 and t4 projects have reached the designed capacity.
In addition, Guochuangke-new display printing manufacturing equipment project also ushered in the start of construction on the same day. This project is a new type of display supporting project, focusing on the key common technologies and core equipment of new display printing and manufacturing, so as to realize the independent and controllable development, production and application of new display manufacturing key equipment.
