The necessary product is damaged or the performance does not match. Here is an explanation.

    1. Material confirmation

    Whether the LED BIN grades of the input materials are consistent with each other, the brightness may be different when used together, and the luminous color may be different when different CIE BINs are used together).

    2. Packaging and storage

    Before opening the package, prevent moisture from entering the inside of the LED. It is recommended that the SMD series of LEDs be stored in a drying cabinet with a built-in desiccant. The storage environment temperature range is 5-30 degrees, and the humidity does not exceed 50%.

    3. Precautions after unpacking

    After unpacking, take measures to dehumidify the whole roll as much as possible. Dehumidification conditions: baking at 70 degrees for 4-12 hours.

    The dehumidified material should be used up as soon as possible (within 24 hours). Please seal the remaining material or place it in an environment with a temperature of 10-40 degrees and a humidity of no more than 30%.

    4. Operational precautions

    This product is only reflowed twice, and after the first reflow, it must be cooled to room temperature before the second reflow can be performed. It is recommended that the reflow soldering temperature range is 200-240 degrees. During the operation, the material cannot be taken directly by hand, there is sweat on the hand, and the sweat will optically contaminate the surface of the silica gel, which will affect the light emission. In addition, silica gel is relatively soft, and squeezing it with your hands will cause the wire to break and cause a dead light.

    It is not recommended to mount the LED on a curved circuit board. Avoid rapid cooling during soldering, avoid any form of mechanical force or excessive vibration during the LED soldering cooling process, and do not bend the circuit board after soldering. When repairing or working on a single material, do not use tweezers to squeeze the surface of the colloid. Since silica gel is relatively soft, squeezing the colloid with tweezers will cause the wire to break, crush the chip, and cause the lamp to die.

    In batch operations, if the nozzle is smaller than the inner diameter of the product, the nozzle will punch the silicone, causing the gold wire to break, and the chip will be pressed and the lamp will die.

    The soldered LED should not be repaired. If it is unavoidable, use a double-ended soldering iron, but it is necessary to confirm in advance whether the LED characteristics will be damaged after the repair.

    5. Electrostatic protection

    LEDs are electrostatic sensitive electronic components, and various measures should be taken to avoid static electricity. For example: wear an electrostatic ring during use. All installation equipment and instruments should be grounded. It is recommended to test the assembled LED products to check whether the LED is damaged by static electricity.

    6. Cleaning

    It is recommended to use isopropanol to clean the LED. If other solvents are used for cleaning, make sure that the solvent will not affect the epoxy, silicone, silica gel, bracket silver layer, etc. It is not recommended to use ultrasonic cleaning to avoid damage to the LED. If it is unavoidable, please conduct a pre-test before cleaning to confirm whether it will cause adverse effects or potential hazards to the LED.

    7. Other matters needing attention

    Long-term exposure to sunlight or occasional exposure to ultraviolet light may cause the colloid to turn yellow.

    In order to ensure the photoelectric performance of the LED, please keep the surface of the LED light-emitting area clean and avoid being covered by fingerprints or other foreign objects.

    When designing the circuit, it is necessary to prevent the instantaneous impact of reverse voltage or excessive current on the LED during the switching process.

    Avoid touching the silicone gel with sharp tools such as tweezers during use.
