UV inks have developed rapidly because of their environmental protection, and their share in the ink market is also getting higher and higher. Recently, Toyo Ink and Qiangli New Materials have made new progress in UV curing materials.
To reduce CO2 emissions by 18% per day Toyo Ink develops solid-state flexo printing ink

Recently, Japan’s Toyo Ink has developed a curable flexo printing ink. It is understood that compared with traditional UV flexo inks, CO2 emissions can be reduced by 18% from raw material procurement to ink combustion. In addition, the high biomass developed by Toyo Ink leads the curable flexo printing ink to achieve a biomass degree of 20%. Generally, increasing the level of biomass will reduce the curability and physical properties, but Toyo Ink’s unique formulation technology allows the product to be cured using more energy-efficient LED lights, and shows the same physical properties as traditional products.

In addition, some biomass raw materials are made from recycled waste vegetable oil, which is one of the few printing inks with a biomass content of 20%. The products are suitable for sealing and label printing applications.
