According to foreign media reports, BOE is expected to supply more than 15 million OLED panels for iPhone to Apple, which is equivalent to about 10% of the total OLED panels used by Apple’s iPhone this year.
In April of this year, foreign media reported that last year, 78% of the OLED panels used in the iPhone were purchased from Samsung Display. However, this year, this proportion will decline to 65%, because Apple will expand the use of LG Display and BOE's OLED panels this year.
BOE was founded in April 1993. It has produced OLED screens for Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi and Vivo. As a leading company in the semiconductor display industry, the company's display panels account for 28% of the global share, ranking first in the world.

In mid-September this year, media reports stated that BOE had obtained conditional approval to supply OLED panels for the iPhone 13. After obtaining conditional approval, the company produces OLED panels for the iPhone 13 series on its B11 production line in Sichuan Province. The company may get Apple's final approval to supply OLED panels for the recently launched iPhone 13 series.
In October of this year, it was reported that BOE began supplying a small amount of OLED displays for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 at the end of September, and plans to increase shipments soon. The final qualification review process will focus on the durability of the screen and will end this month at the earliest.
Cupertion's supply chain sources said that BOE is currently supplying OLED panels for the iPhone 12. In the first half of this year, the company supplied about 6 million OLED panels for the iPhone 12. As of October this year, the company expects to supply a total of 10 million OLED panels.
