According to ETNews, LG Display is preparing to supply Apple with OLED display panels for upcoming iPad models.
LG's preparations to supply Apple with OLED displays for the iPad reportedly include expanding its plant in Paju, South Korea, with the added capacity taking into account the next-generation iPhone and iPad models.

Bringing OLED panels to the iPad presents a new opportunity for LG Display, as the device has a display size and aspect ratio that rival suppliers cannot easily achieve at the moment. Another recent report said that BOE is also preparing to supply OLED panels for future iPad models.
Sources say LG plans to start mass production of these panels at its Paju plant in 2024, a timing largely in line with other recent reports.
It is reported that early last year, LG was forced to stop the production of LCD panels for the iPhone and shut down its smartphone division. The company has since restructured its business into OLED panels and is accelerating capacity expansion. Now, LG plans to aggressively increase its presence in the Apple Display supply chain through an expansion investment strategy that will allow the Paju plant to produce twice as many sixth-generation OLED panels by 2024.
