In 2018, the International Institute of New Plant Varieties and its industrialization project settled in Zhejiang Pinghu Agricultural Development Zone. The project was invested and constructed by Shanghai Dongyu Fruit Industry Co., Ltd.
After 3 years, the International Institute of New Plant Varieties established the first domestic commercial multi-category plant detoxification research, the first full-facility and full-substrate berry industry demonstration park, and the first all varieties to keep pace with developed countries for commercial use The high-standard seedling breeding base, and the first 3D future vegetable factory to fully apply advanced technologies such as Philips in the Netherlands.

In addition, the research and cultivation of new varieties of seedlings bred from abroad or cultivated by foreign technology by the International Institute of New Plant Varieties has become increasingly mature. Compared with the traditional R&D container, Dongyu R&D container is equipped with Philips dynamic spectrum light source, Dutch Priva environmental control equipment and water and fertilizer management system. Dutch technical experts can provide real-time online technical support through the Internet.
At present, the construction of the 3D future plant factory has come to an end, and it is expected to be put into use in May and June this year. The plant factory fully utilizes advanced technologies such as Philips dynamic spectrum light source in the Netherlands, and will adopt three-dimensional planting to simulate the natural environment in terms of sunlight, water, soil, fertilizer, temperature and other elements to cultivate new varieties.
After the completion of the project, the entire factory covers an area of about 2,000 square meters and only needs 2 to 3 people to operate. It is expected to achieve an annual sales income of 200 million yuan (source: Pinghu release)
