Application
UVC, UVB, and UVA LED applications are based on different wavelengths of ultraviolet (UV) light and have various uses:
UVC LEDs:
Wavelength: 255-280 nanometers (nm)
Application: Disinfection and sterilization. UVC LEDs are used in devices like UV sanitizers and germicidal lamps to kill bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, making them valuable for water purification, air sterilization, and surface disinfection.
UVB LEDs:
Wavelength: 280-345 nm
Application: Medical and therapeutic purposes. UVB LEDs are used in phototherapy for skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, and vitiligo. They can also be found in UVB lamps for reptile habitats to provide essential UVB radiation for reptile health.
UVA LEDs:
Wavelength: 365-410 nm
Application: UV curing, fluorescence, and counterfeit detection. UVA LEDs are employed in UV curing processes for adhesives, coatings, and inks. They can also excite fluorescent materials for various applications like counterfeit currency detection and scientific research.
